It actually felt like a series of somewhat unfortunate events befell us as we tried to create this special Halloween song and video. We certainly suffered some fails but failure is just a sign of trying. This week we dared to try a lot. Along the way we had two flashlights that broke. We bought a strobe from Party City that is the slowest strobe I have ever seen and we probably would have done better to have someone flick light switches on and off really fast like I did with my friends when I was a kid. We had a black light that I couldn't seem to place correctly to get the lighting effect I had planned. My makeup was quick to melt. We had some camera placing issues the first 3 or 4 tries on our video takes. AND in the end the lighting was a little too subtle. What I'm trying to say, in a long winded way, is we settled on the finished product. We were possibly delirious from the heat build up, Dan in his mask and me in costume. We had hit our peak in performance and we were quickly slipping when we called it, around 10pm, Saturday. What we were going for was more of a stop motion cartoon feel. With one week coming to an end and the next one beginning, we knew it was time to say "Goodbye" to Clarice.
