Week 32 - LOOK AT YOU!

A little over a week ago, I pulled into the pet supply store’s parking lot and as I was getting out of the car, cue theme song from “The Good The Bad And The Ugly”.

There he was, coming out of the liquor store, long, lean, dressed all in black, including… wait for it…………the mask on his face!  I started looking around wondering, “Is it high noon yet?” and “Is anyone else seeing this the way I am?”  That’s when things really started to get surreal.  Now I don’t know but I’ve been told, I sometimes have a hard time distinguishing fantasy from reality.  All I can say for sure is that when I started looking around, EVERYONE had their mask’s, from the debutante in the blinged out mask, to the ninja, to the skull faced biker, to (cue that theme song again) to the Outlaw coming out of the liquor store.  Now what the luchador and Guy Fawkes were doing there is anyone’s guess but we were all wearing our masks!  I just kept noticing one person after another with their mask on.  No sooner had I pointed at someone and said, “Look at YOU!” I would then see someone else and point them out.  These people are heroes!!  They are giving all of us an extra, added level of protection against the virus and that is consideration and respect for the lives of all, especially to our front line heroes, who expose themselves to the most brutal cases of COVID-19 and in doing so, risk their lives daily.  I was sooooo encouraged to see everyone out there wearing their masks and doing their part, that I felt my own dopamine levels spike and it came out in the form of a song.   What I witnessed was cooperation, the antidote to dysfunction and what we need if our goal is to rise above hardship.  If we can all come together to try to solve this, than I believe 100% we will do it!!!  I believe in us, when we work together for the well being of all.  This song is for you mask wearing, caring, considerate people who make my heart smile, give me hope and reinforce my faith in mankind .  LOOK AT YOU! <3
